Interactive Paper Touch Functionality
Interactive Paper is an innovative product blending printed electronics with traditional paper. It facilitates user interaction with smartphones through NFC technology. The product's usability varies between Android and iPhone due to NFC limitations on iPhones, but it has been meticulously optimised for both platforms, as evidenced by extensive testing with over 10,000 individuals, ensuring a smooth and user-friendly experience.

Android
Place your phone on the paper and press a button for three seconds.
If it does not work
Why can this happen?
1st - the most common issue is, that the NFC is not activated. This is explained on the Interactive Paper. But even if it fails, there is an option. The QR Code can be scanned to activate NFC. See in the following video:
2nd - it could be due to the surface, the Interactive Paper is on. Metals block the NFC from working.
3rd - the Interactive Paper could be damaged. This barely ever happens, but when it happens, there is still a failsafe.
4th - the mobile phone is not compatible. In some instances, about 1,2% of mobile phones on the market, the Interactive Paper is not compatible with them.

iPhone
The iPhone get's it's own experience, using several cutting-edge technologies to make the Interactive Paper work smoothly. In the videos below, you can see how the experience works.
iPhone 12 or newer
The iPhone experience is also very simple and proven to be effective. As stated in the Interactive Paper, there is a small, special code that needs to be scanned with the iPhone's camera. From there, the user is guided through the experience.
iPhone XS, XR, 11 and SE
With the iPhone models XS, XR, 11, 11 Pro, 11 Pro Max, and iPhone SE, the experience differs a bit from the rest. Although it can also be accessed by just scanning the special code on the paper, you can also use it without this step.
If it does not work
Sometimes it happens that the Interactive Paper still does not work with the iPhone. In our study, this occurred in 1 out of 95 cases tested. This is because the special code was not scanned. In this instance, there is still the QR Code that can be scanned, and the same experience opens.
